Nadezhda, a young teacher in a small Bulgarian town, is under increasing financial pressure. When her family’s house is threatened with foreclosure and the repossession looms, Nadezhda resorts to measures her former self, untouched by the realities of economic desperation and moral compromise, would have found depraved. Margita Gosheva as Nadezhda delivers a powerful performance in this absorbing drama.
